I'm on day two of working from home with a sick toddler and it has me thinking...
How do you handle sick kids -- 1. with your spouse or partner -- like do you trade off staying home with kids? And 2. How do you alert work?
For instance, this morning I texted my boss and emailed my team. Luckily, my boss is a working mom (the FIRST time in my 15 year+ career I've worked for a working mom) so she gets it.
Lastly, I find myself apologizing a LOT for having a sick kid. I apologized to a colleague today and his response was: "even though society tells you you should apologize, you really don't need to."
So what do you say/do when your kids are sick and you have to work from home? I'm curious and wondering how I can change my perspective.
