I work on amongst a team of other managers in my peer group, and I've noticed some of the managers choose not to coach and develop their people, or invest in them. It's a sink or swim mentality and they end up churning through a lot of employees. I personally coach and develop my employees, but as I'm watching this, it's painful. It's terrible to see managers that don't care to coach, or don't know how, and employees that may have been successful working for someone else churn out of the organization. What do I do? I can't tell someone else how to manage their team, but I can't watch anymore good people fail because they aren't being coached.
