HR Nazi

I have a terrible HR person . She is a dictator and makes everyone feel attacked . I used to love my job so much and how it seems like it's not the same company anymore. 20 years working with seniors and I'm struggling every day to go to work. I dont know if I should start packing and looking for a new job. When she is gone it makes life so much better. We have lost several management to quitting because she is so awful but the corporate pond doesnt see it. Advice would be welcomed. P.S I have let my operations manager and owner of the business know my feelings on this person.

So sorry for you. Human Resources used to be called "Personnel" not so long ago. Your title piqued my attention, because I remember dear old dad saying, "HR are the Nazi's of the organization!" The business world kinda sucks these days, and technology has made it all the worse. No sense being miserable for a third of your life. Start looking for another job.

Dear Anonymous, I am sorry to read that, honestly it's disappointing to learn when you have a HR person (nazi) who treats people like crap and get away with it. Luckily for you are in a field where you can go to any company and join their HR like at the drop of a hat. I would quitely have my resume revamped and start putting out your resume on the hush. You never know who tyhis manager may have watching or keeping their ears open around the company for people who are jumping or have plans to jump ship. Don't forget to update you linkedin profile and reach out to people in your own field who may have possible leads for you to follow. If that HR person isn't leaving, she's survived other managers quitting, you you have to wonder what's going on? I know I would be. Please know that I'm not jaded when it comes to HR and the negative experiences that I have had, but they could not be further from the truth. I believe people are paid to do their job and have to be able to separate their emotions and feelings from their jobs, but it sounds like that manager has a problem and isn't taking any mercy with anyone. Please note that you health is not worth going through that on a day to day basis. Hope this helps,

I'm heartbroken I was terminated but at the same time the relief I feel is intangible. I am putting myself out there again and excited to start a new chapter.
