Best UX Designer Education

Hi everyone, I'm researching UX/UI bootcamps and courses. My background is in education. I'm completely new to this field, and am really interested in breaking into it. Does anyone know the best schools/courses for an aspiring UX Designer?

Hey Victoria, I actually work for CareerFoundry in their Career Services department. I highly recommend them, but I may be biased. Every student I work with has said they've loved their instructor/mentors and there is such a rich community willing to help on Slack. I've heard great things about Spring Board too but have no first hand knowledge. The only one I would try and stay away from is Trilogy. They run almost all tech bootcamps out of traditional colleges. For example, you can look at UPenn's coding bootcamp, and it seems like it's run out of UPenn. It's not, it's run by Trilogy. Some people do well, but since the organization is so big there is a lack of consistency in the programming. If you want to know more about CareerFoundry feel free to reach out. I can send you a link that can give you a small discount if you're ready to enroll. No pressure or anything, I swear! I just wanted to throw in my two cents :)

I’ve looked at so many and hadn’t come across these suggestions. I’m so glad I asked, thank you both!

You're welcome and check out UX Daily Writing group on Facebook. They're legit!

Aquent has a lot of (mostly free) classes for UX. Look for the Gymnasium on their site. I second @Jen Pressley - General Assembly is great as well!

General Assembly is the classic UX boot camp and most recognized by potential employers. It’s a commitment. As a second step, I also highly recommend a Nielsen Norman Group UX conference and applicable certifications. One of the best conferences out there. With those two things you’ll be all set.

You're invited.
