Need a job so I can support my family before we become homeless.

We made a rather bold decision to move. We currently left Las Vegas NV and moved to San Antonio tx. I have put my resume out there as well as I have pounded the pavement and walked in a few doors. Does anyone have any advice or resources that could help us out any? I have a little bit of experience in bartending and Server experience. About 18 years. The thing that I believe is holding me back is my missing bottom teeth. Long story short I had them knocked out of place by my abusive 2nd ex husband. My first ex-husband was kind enough to help me get a flipper through his and my daughter's dentist. The day we were leaving Vegas I got sick and I threw up in the middle of the street and they fell out of my mouth. Before I could tell my ex they were ran over by the car behind us. Just my luck right? Any way I am up for any advice on this matter....

I just want to say these are all amazing suggestions! I myself have recently been looking into supplementing my income as a single parent (no child support for us!) by working for Instacart or Shipt, very part time, but I currently work in the insurance industry, so I know what to look for, and to be fully covered by your insurance while delivering for any of these services, you need to make sure your auto insurance company will allow you to do these deliveries. My current company will not. I have reached out to several different companies, and depending on how often you do this, it may work as just a personal/business use vehicle policy, or you may have to get a commercial policy. Food delivery is different than Ridesharing, like Uber or Lyft. Hope this helps anyone else who may be looking into this as a side hustle!

There are non profit organizations that may help provide the funds for your dental work. Check out www.ceridiancares.com, a non profit organization that gives grants to individuals and families in need. Another good resource that could connect you with services that could help with your job search and funding for dental work is 211 www.unitedwaysatx.org/2-1-1/ Best of luck! I am confident that you'll find success just around the corner :-)

Teleperformance, Kelly Services, Conduent, are all hiring online customer service reps. You need 6 months of cxs experience and internet...most of them provide the computer and accessories. Google them. Look for remote or work for home on their websites. I believe all of their starting pay is about $12 per hour.

Reach out to your local Manpower office (you can go to the office). Pick up seasonal work in the meantime.

Try instacart or door dash as well while you’re looking!

Check if there is a workforce development program offered by your local, county or state government. They can be a great resource for coaching, job fairs and networking opportunities.

Is there a local college or university with a dental program? We have one and it offers services at a reduced rate. They might be able to help with your dental issues.
