What do you to do "center" yourself?

The holidays are upon us which means way more stress than we bargained for. What are some of your favorite ways to destress? I personally love meditation and working out on a regular basis. Cooking is also another outlet for me. And therapy is SO important. What about you?

Working out, reading and making a conscious effort to spend time doing something creative (ie. writing, drawing, brainstorming etc) work well for me! It's important to remind yourself of the joys of the holiday so writing down things you're grateful for can also help frame it in a more positive light!

Halloween and Thanksgiving aren't stressful for me, but I do need to make a plan for Christmas. I list everything that needs to be done and by when. I identify everyone with whom I share gifts, write down their goals, hobbies and interests and then look for something that would appeal to them. Just having a plan and ticking items off makes a huge difference. Also, my hubby is excellent at decorating for the holidays, and I can usually leave that to him.

Acupuncture always destresses me when I've hit my limit. I also exercise and meditate.
