I'm thinking about getting a tattoo.

I like the minimalist, small inked tattoo look. Maybe on my wrist? I’m looking for people to talk me in/out of it, what to get, and where it should be located. I’m open for a debate.

My suggestion is if you're not 100% committed without influence from others, don't get a tat. I've been wanting a tat for 6-7 years but it wasn't until 2 years ago that I began to be committed without influence. Now my only "issue" is where on my body because I've watched friends have problems in certain work places/industries due to tattoo placement. Something to consider. And finding the "right" artist to do what I want.

if you are looking for people to talk you into it, don’t get it.

Haha, noted.

I have a tattoo on my wrist (in white ink so v. easy to cover) and I would go as far to say that I got it very impulsively but don't regret it at all. I personally think if you want to be talked in/out of it, you should probably wait!

Small tattoos are great, but if you're unsure of what you want, where to get it, etc. maybe spend more time thinking about it. A few things to consider - the wrist is very visible! Make sure you get something you'll want everyone to see and/or feel comfortable explaining. Additionally, small/thin tattoos are not easy to do, be sure to find an artist with specific experience in that aesthetic. They may have a higher minimum than expected for a tiny tattoo, but it's worth it!

Hmm if you're on the fence, get a temporary one of what you want in that location and try it out for a week or so. If you're still into it afterward, get it!

Ditto. DON'T DO IT. You'll thank me.

Ummm... I think this is a great idea. But I'd consider a different location? If you're going for the wrist, there's really no way to cover it up if you want to. But you do you.

DON'T DO IT. It's so... permanent.

disagree. I have two very small ones and I LOVE them. However... in my opinion, the most important thing to think about is how long you've wanted them for / how meaningful they are to you. For both of mine, I'd had the idea of what I wanted (and where) for 5+ years before I got them. This made me realize I wasn't just doing something impulsive... I wanted them for good reason. And today, I'm still very happy!
