My instincts at work seem to always be wrong. If I think I should call a client, then I find out from my manager that I shouldn't have because I am bugging them. If I e-mail, then I should have called and made a more personal connection. If I spend some time on project A, it should have been spent on B. I feel like the ball is always moving. When I've tried to approach this, all I seem to get is "I'm concerned that you don't seem to know this yet." That response makes me nervous to ask questions about anything, afraid that my already-precarious position will be further compromised.
