What's your go-to self-care when things are crazy?

We've just moved house and are living in a forest of boxes! I'm finding a quiet corner to drink my coffee and read a bit each morning, and trying to TAKE the time to meditate for five minutes before I leave the house for work.

Something about taking a few moments to have a glass of wine (while doing nothing else), cup of good coffee (while doing nothing else) and talking a walk outside (while doing nothing else) do wonders for me. The key, as you'll notice to all of the above is not to do anything else while you're doing these things -- i.e. no phone checking!!

I clean my room, wash my sheets, shower and then crawl into my clean sheets with a good book!! While there is a lot of cleaning in that process- it feels so great and rewarding at the end.

Clutter can get crazy but congrats on the move! Meditating is a great idea. I've been to a moving party where people come and help you put things away. In return, booze and food is provided. It's a great way to get extra hands, hang out with people and get control of the move!

Oddly enough, I think mine's the opposite! I stress clean. Sometimes just looking at a countertop that doesn't have anything on it is enough of a release of stress.

It probably has to do with CONTROL. When I have a ton of external stressors that I can't control, it helps me to focus on the things I absolutely do have control over.
