What do the single ladies do?

I have several friends who live alone. Any tips for how to keep yourself busy and active when you have no kids and are single during this pandemic? Asking for a friend ?

I have a continuous text chain between 8 of my closest friends...we check in on each other daily! We share stories, photos, and our continuously changing feelings on what is happening in our world. And sometimes the right text pops up at the right time...and all in the world is okay!

I’ve been texting and facetiming a lot more with my friends. I probably did the unhealthy thing and I’ve started working more and spending money on my home.

I am introvert by nature so this quarantine lifestyle isn't much different than my usual social life. :P I have been spending a lot of time reading and writing, while taking online courses to finish my marketing degree and business analytics certification. Since I love to bake/cook, I've also been trying out new recipes. I've been trying to work up the brains to post on my food blog but that might have to wait until May. In terms of connecting with folks, I have happy hour dates with my girlfriends on Zoom and I'm constantly keeping up with other folks on other social media, trying to infuse some optimism, good cheer, and humor into their day. I've also become the unofficial MythBuster for every unverified and false story that people love to repost for some reason so that keeps me busy too lol

It's been REALLY hard for me; I'm a social person and I miss my activities and friends. But, I've stayed busy working, going on daily walks, cleaning, watching TV, zoom happy hours/seminars, etc. My family and I Facetime and I'm starting a women's empowerment/career counseling course tomorrow. I'm a lawyer, so I've also participated in a lot of zoom continuing education classes and listened to people in my industry talk about what's going on. I thought I'd have a lot of extra time to kill but I've found so many things to do. Thankfully, this is happening now when we have all this technology. It would have been awful when there was no internet or phones.

Hi! So I am unemployed and started job searching beginning of this year. So my daily schedule did not change that much. It is more frustrating and have added anxiety. I make sure I do a walk/run daily, trying to go back to learning spanish, trying to learn more about other things... Lots of texting & calls with friends.. don't get me wrong, this is not fun.. but hang in there..

Hi Ebony! Whatever you do, develop a routine. Even if you only stick to it 5 days out of the week. Set a time to exercise, make your own breakfast, practice self-care. I'm still putting on make-up even though I'm not leaving the house. Why? Why not! Do something different. Make a meal you've never made before. Review your finances. Draft a 5-year plan. Dive deep into these types of online communities and be as supportive as possible. Whatever it is, remember you have to WANT to do it. Because we need to be prepared to ride this pandemic out for at least a few more months. Good luck to you - stay safe!

Got a rowing machine prior to so working out on that, Netflix, working for an awful boss I might add?, walks, cooking. Enjoy the solitude and slow pace if not NEEDING to go anywhere or be doing something without the guilt.
