HELP! Advice needed ... So I'm living that parable "Oh what a tangled web we weave, When first we practice to deceive”.
I got offered a great job. However I didn't tell the new new job that I had left previous employer (horrible) and started a new job (have only been at new job 9 working days). The interview process with the job I was just offer started while I was at horrible previous job. Now on the offer letter they are requesting says
"This offer of employment is also contingent on documentary evidence of your right to work in the U.S., receipt of documentary evidence of your qualifications as shown on your resume and two satisfactory references being obtained by us. We ask that you provide us the company name and contact details of your most recent and previous employers.
(Last sentence). What if they call and are given the dates of my employment which would reveal that I left late August... Ugh ... do I chance it and say nothing or submit and call HR at new new job and tell them I had to leave horrible job but am working temp for a friend and have committed to finish the project (I told new new job that I couldn't start for two weeks). The new new job think they are saving me from hell! Or do I explain that although I had a new job when I interviewed the 2nd time (there was a 15-16 day time span between interviews) I didn’t want to muddy the waters and explain since it wasn’t I job I necessarily wanted but took to get out of the previous horrible job.
