Long distance relationship

My boyfriend of 4 years and I currently live in San Francisco. I recently got a job offer from a company in London. It is an amazing opportunity, and I really want to take it. My boyfriend is very supportive but he has made it clear to me that he will not be moving to London with me. We have been together for FOUR years, and I do not want to break up, but I have never been in a long distance relationship and I'm scared that it would end badly. Does anyone have some advice for me?

Wow, I feel like I'm reading my own story. I was with my boyfriend for 4 years and got a job opportunity in Los Angeles (lived in the midwest before). My boyfriend was also very supportive and also said he wouldn't be moving with me. The reason I decided to go was actually a question my dad asked me. "Would you regret it if you didn't go?" - Suddenly, everything became so clear to me. Yes, I would regret it if I didn't go —but your answer to the question might be different!

So, seems like you'd like to keep and new job and a boyfriend, but life is sucks, and you always have to make decisions. I mean, just think about yourself first, about what you want exactly (life is too short to do not even to try to get what you want exactly), and then just make a decision and never ever regret about it even if something would go wrong. It's always better try and fault than not even to try! Talk to yourself first!
