I’m an experienced engineer who recently moved from Environmental and Safety to Operations. I oversee 1/2 of the Supervisors in the Department (who supervise about 15 Techs apiece), report to the Manager, and also have responsibility for data reporting & systems training. I’m the only woman in a large, collaborative department - which has taken some getting used to. Here’s my issue: my title is EAM Administrator; but I don’t feel like outside the company, on my resume, this title conveys what I actually do or the responsibilities I have with this role. Especially as a woman, I’m a little self-conscious of being misconstrued as an Administrative Assistant (not that there’s anything wrong with being an Administrative Assistant!). Any advice on how I should record this position on my resume? Change the title to assistant manager? Highlight the responsibility below the actual job title?
