Learning How to be a Freat Leader

Leadership is the ability to influence people to enhance their work performance toward a goal and increase their personal and professional growth. If a leader hasn't achieved both of these, they are not a good leader. While some people are born with traits that make them seem like "natural born leaders," research shows that great leadership is learned. For anyone aspiring to leadership, I cannot recommend reading and rereading this book enough. The World's Most Powerful Leadership Principle: How to Become a Servant Leader https://www.amazon.com/dp/1578569753. Make a study of leadership and work on improving your own leadership skills. Do a self-assessment and be honest with yourself about your weaknesses. Prioritize the weaknesses that are most affecting your career. Then focus of improving each of those areas. Work on one skill at a time until it becomes second nature. I've been a CAO for 15 years.

Informal, quite frequently. Formally less often. I'm alert to new assessment questionnaires available free or in books. I want to be the best version of me that I can possibly be.

How often do you find yourself doing self assessments? That’s definitely something I need to work on.
