getting on the same (sleeping) schedule as your partner

My partner is a night owl. He tends to go to bed very late (and sleeps later than I do — but he's also OK with not getting much sleep if he needs to wake up early). I've pretty much adjusted my schedule to be more in sync with his; I go to bed much later than I used to, before I met him... because otherwise, I feel like I don't get to spend enough time with him. He works pretty late, so if I had an earlier bedtime, I'd hardly get to see him during the week... and it's important to me to spend quality time with him! I find I'm not disciplined enough to go to bed before he does (plus, at night, I never want to because I want to hang out!) This has been tough for me, though, because it means I get 5-6 hours of sleep a night during the week. Has anyone ever experienced something similar when they start dating someone/have any advice?

I just sleep whenever I need to and so does my partner and we came to the conclusion it would not be something we'd take personally and have to carve out times to spend with each other that didn't involve the weekdays...

I can totally relate. This stuff is hard. I don't have any advice for you, to be honest, but I hope someone else does (because I need it, too.)
