getting on the same (sleeping) schedule as your partner
My partner is a night owl. He tends to go to bed very late (and sleeps later than I do — but he's also OK with not getting much sleep if he needs to wake up early). I've pretty much adjusted my schedule to be more in sync with his; I go to bed much later than I used to, before I met him... because otherwise, I feel like I don't get to spend enough time with him. He works pretty late, so if I had an earlier bedtime, I'd hardly get to see him during the week... and it's important to me to spend quality time with him! I find I'm not disciplined enough to go to bed before he does (plus, at night, I never want to because I want to hang out!)
This has been tough for me, though, because it means I get 5-6 hours of sleep a night during the week. Has anyone ever experienced something similar when they start dating someone/have any advice?
