What's the best major for someone interested in the consulting world?

I need to declare my major in the spring, and I am having doubts. Right now I am a psychology and economics double major, but I'm wondering if I should switch one to business or management. Is it better to have a more traditional business education for consulting? My business program isn't super prestigious or anything. Am I fine going the arts/science route? The counselors at my school aren't much help

Consultants are EXPERIENCED in their profession and are brought in to projects for various reasons. However, regardless of the reason, they are experts in their field. What is your goal as an econmics/psychology major? What is your passion? If you are interested in consulting, you need to have several years under your belt, so its best to choose a career path you love and get good at it. P.S. I don't have any friends using their psychology degree. Some are over >100k in debt and working jobs having nothing to do with that field. Its a fun topic, but unless you are planning a career as a social worker, I HIGHLY suggest you choose something else, imho.
