Lost and Feeling Lost

I have many years nannying, personal assisting, I worked at Nordstrom as one of their youngest personal stylists and then found myself wanting a 9-5 job and took a job as an Academic Advisor for an online college. I received my MBA from this college and then took an account management job selling office technology because I wanted more money. I am very unhappy for the first time in my career and have been at this new job for four months (I have never left a company under 2 years). I am not sure what I should do next and get overwhelmed every time I search for jobs. I am hands down a people person and love making an impact on peoples lives. I have hosted non-profit events for fun and I just really want to feel like I am making an impact on others. I am here to see if anyone has any advice or suggestions for me that I deeply appreciate. Thank you!

I'm sorry you are going through this but it's hard to understand why exactly you are not happy. Given that you haven't provided this important detail, I would suggest looking at what can be changed without you quitting your job. Maybe move to another department, take some additional responsibilities or delegate some. What exactly makes you unhappy? If it's the job overall, maybe it's worth discussing to your superior and HR and see if there's anything that can be done.
