How to not care what coworkers think

the regular workplace drama. Everyone seems to have an opinion. Muttering criticism under their breath and such. How do y’all deal with the daily little work dramas and work personalities?

1st I love you listed Fur Mom bc yes! me too. 2nd. Take walks on your break to get out of the environment. Eat lunch somewhere else. Don't get wrapped up into their anger and hostility. Some people will always find something to complain about it. Just be respectful and explain you have created a healthy boundary you do not want to be included in it. Try to change the conversations to fun things or random talk about their family or your own fur babies. Personally my kittens get me out of so many extra conversations. Respect yourself and know that your tribe is out there. Respect that they are in a different place and mindset.

I’ve started taking walks on my lunch break. We only get 30 mins. I warm up my food when I come back from my walk and I can eat at my desk. I get two 10 min breaks and I try to sit outside for those away from any coworkers lol. I love your idea of changing the subject to my fur babies. That would probably shut them up. Hahahaha.

Oh how I wish I could wear headphones. I’m a 911 dispatcher and have a headset on all day. Earbuds aren’t allowed. ?

I have to wear earphones to drown out the never ending chattering and gossiping by my 2 co-workers. It gets on my last nerve. I've sacrificed(?) being a part of their little gang and they don't speak to me at all now. One even totally ignored me when I said good morning last week. I'm glad I am not a part of it. That's not my style and not something I want to be known for. Plus, guess what? I've got work to do!!!

Be quiet and don't offer any opinions when asked. Once people realize you stay out of the drama Arena they will no longer bother you. Earphones are great if you can use them
