New Insta Pot Owner Seeking Recipes, Hints, and Tricks

Hi everyone! I recently got an Insta Pot for Christmas (IP Lux80) and am very excited to start cooking with it. However, it is a bit complicated starting off. So many buttons and settings. I recently cooked simple things like rice and some zucchini. The zucchini was actually a bit on the tricky side because it was a recipe that called for low pressure and my insta pot only does high. So I am asking for any hints or tricks you may have and of course, please share your favorite recipes with me! I love all foods and look forward to hearing your responses!

I LOVE my instant pot. You can basically google [dish you want to make] + instant pot and find a ton of stuff. Or, use one of the many sites totally dedicated to instant pot cooking. Nom Nom Paleo is a good blog choice. I use mine for hard boiled eggs (5 minutes, high pressure - quick release and then put in cold water), chana masala, chili, and lots of other stuff.

I will definitely check out that site! Thanks for the easy hard boiled egg instructions too. Man, 5 minutes for hard boiled eggs is amazing! Also, totally adding chana masala to my food bucket list :)

I use a more conventional slow cooker but i think the things that work for me will probably work for you too - chilis, soups, anything that is stew-like (beef stew is my family’s favorite)..,.

Google. There are TONS of recipes on google for IP recipes. You will be amazed on all the different things you can do in an IP including meatloaf and lasagna. Pinterest has tons of recipes too. Good luck!

Lasagna in an IP sounds cool! Definitely have to look up a recipe for that! I was searching around yesterday and found a recipe for making ricotta in an IP, which I love in my lasagna!
