I've been searching for a new job for the past two years. I am a senior-level program manager with more than 25 years of experience. I've posted my resume on LinkedIn, Dice, Indeed, Monster, Careerbuilder, Glassdoor, you name it. In the two year span, I've had about four…
I had an issue come up recently where a consultant, and former colleague of our CEO, made an inappropriate and insulting comment to me on a call. I offered to share a study to help his brand and his response was "See , you do have some helpful knowledge in that brain of yours." I felt it…

text edit to pdf and be sure that your formatting is simple. if you have any funny bullets or other the OCR cannot process this information. Worst case attach a resume and be clear that their system does not properly capture your information. Last alternative is let your computer if its a mac auto populate the information and save it in your system. On a windows not sure how to do this. good luck in your search.

While the required editing can be time consuming despite the copy and pasting, the real issues is when the resume is so distorted that it's easier to remove positions and rebuild work history and education. To make sure everything is saved correctly, I check out the candidate profile / portal and then there are still issues. For one application it's updating the resume, the form and then the portal. That takes a lot of time when you don't hear anything back. While it's frustrating, my concern is more in terms of applications that have applicants send the cover letter and resume and I'm not sure what happens in those instances. I try to make the resume as simple as possible to avoid both issues but I'm still running into problems. Do you have any suggestion to combat this issue? Thank you!
