Hello,
I'm transitioning from marketing (14 years) to IT, and I'm looking to gain some experience.
Does anyone know of a company with an internship program that doesn't require being in an MBA curriculum?

What specifically do you want to do in IT?
Do you mean IT as in admin/desktop support etc?
Do you mean IT as in Development/coding? If you want to code, do you want to do back-end coding or front-end work?
Do you mean IT as in Security or Cloud management or Database work?
You don't really need an internship. I'm not bashing internships, they are great options, but they are not the only option to get a job in IT. You just need to know how to do the job you want to do.
Want to code? then fire up youtube or LinkedIN or various other free education platform and learn to code. Don't know what to learn? Start with Java or Python (assuming you want to backend development. ) You do not need a degree to get a development job, you just need to be able to code.
With your marketing background, I would bet you'd get snapped up by a company that builds martech products or a company that hires developers to manage their martech stack.
If you want to do IT admin/desktop work, then find those classes and take your certs (you will need certs to work in that side of IT but those certs are not really that expensive)
If you want to do security, or cloud work, both Amazon and Google offer free (or relatively inexpensive training) in their cloud platforms. Both Amazon and Google training programs have relationships with large corporations who hire people who have gone through their program.

Barb has some great answers. I agree that course work and certifications might help you build your skillset and land an internship!
Do you know anyone in the industry? I'd recommend speaking to learn more about companies they may know of and get general industry advice.

I also agree with Barb. What area in IT are you interested in? When you have decided and acquired those skills, your years in experience in marketing will be an advantage is securing employment .

I work for a software engineering bootcamp, and so many of our students come to us after having taken advantage of free courses through Udemy or Coursera, where they are able to get some fundamentals and then decide if a more formal training program is worth it. I would also echo the group in saying that you should spend some time figuring out what aspects of IT interest you and then doing some research about the skillsets they require.
