It is incredibly easy to get overwhelmed and compare yourself to others. Especially now, when it seems we are all merely a captive audience. While social media and the internet at large has become our primary window to the world, don't let it hold you hostage. It is easy to disconnect and withdraw because you think what you are doing (your passions, goals, hobbies) aren't enough.
With that disconnection comes the crippling feeling of "why even do this it isn't good enough". Then boom, next thing you know it's 6 months later and you're even more mad at yourself because you have fallen behind on your goals. IT IS OK. Been there. Many people have.
Don't stop using social media. Don't stop connecting. Posting. Creating. Do not stop. Instead, make an effort to engage with people and outlets that empower you. Community is so important and just one person who supports you can make the biggest difference. Promoting yourself unashamedly will make all the difference. Use your digital means in ways that get you beside the people you admire. Take breaks as much as you need but don't turn your back on your rise!
Get comfortable letting go of things that you hate. People, foods, situations, clothes (within reason). While there are things that will inevitably cloud your skies, don't let the controllable ones have that power.
