3 Ways to Help Manage Anxiety in Uncertain Times
As if this year couldn't be and more difficult, we are all sitting and waiting to hear the results of this much-anticipated election. Anxiety is at an all-time high. There's been a tremendous increase in women taking anti-anxiety medication. And even then, controlling our anxious thoughts can feel near impossible. Here are - Write it down. When you start feeling anxious or being to worry about something, write it down. Getting it out of our subconscious mind is a powerful tool. - Review your worries, can you control the outcome? Over 80% of what we worry about we can't actually control. Take note of what is in and out of your control and learn to let it go if you can impact it. - Get present: Anxiety and worry are all about focusing on the future and the past. If you feel your heart rate increasing and you begin to ruminate, move your mind to the NOW. Focus on the physical elements that surround you. Getting rid of worry and anxiety takes practice, taking back control of our subconscious mind and changing our personal settings. it's simple (not easy) but it can work.
