I was laid off in mid-March due to COVID-19. At the time, HR called it a temporary lay off and said they would plan to hire back as they could but couldn't guarantee when. I've kept in touch with a couple co-workers that are still at the company. It sounds like the likely hood of being hired back is minimal. That said, I've been applying for jobs elsewhere, but am wondering if it's necessary when interviewing for jobs to disclose that I've been laid off temporarily since I'm still considered an employee of the company. All thoughts welcome!
