Why are FGB email headings so negative lately

The emails I've been received from FGB lately have had such negative messages.... Who should be fired immediately. Why you should quit immediately. What's on your resume that will prevent you from getting hired. What shirt color won't get you hired. Can we maybe try to spin things to the positive? What you should have on your resume...what you should do to get hired....how to take control of your career. Something that doesn't make everything feel like it's out of your control. 2020 is hard enough without daily negative emails.

Thank you to the original poster and everyone on this thread for providing feedback! At Fairygodboss, we aim to provide information and advice to our readers that is genuinely helpful. How we provide these resources is important to us, especially given how difficult work and the job search can be in these unprecedented, challenging times. Our goal is to present our content with the appropriate context and nuance, with an understanding that our audience comes from different backgrounds with different needs, perspectives and interests. We are aware that this nuance may not always be expressed as effectively as we intended. This feedback is truly helpful in helping us calibrate our voice and message to appropriately match the values that we stand for as an organization. Thank you again for sharing.

I'm finding the links are going back to previously presented articles and advice. UGH - just UGH.

Because life is not always sunshine and rainbows. You must be prepared for the difficult topics as well. In the market right now It is flooded with applicants, If you are hiring , looking, or working with it is good to be aware.

I'm also not a fan of what are basically click bait articles being repackaged as valuable career advice. A lot of them are things I already do, but the headline makes you think it's something new that you're missing out on. Taking one or two sentences and stretching into an entire article is already pushing it. For example, the article about not wearing orange to a job interview. If someone's going to reject you for a job based on the color you're wearing says more about the company than you. I would like more positive articles, like coping with stress, self-care and managing your career during Covid.

Yes! 'Let's find solutions instead of being part of the problem' articles would be nice. The blame game is old.
