How do you manage a boss who doesn't regularly provide you with enough information to complete tasks effectively. I have a boss who will ask me to follow up on topics but leaves out details. For example, she asked me to follow with a customer about receipt of a package, yet failed to provide the last name of the customer. While we are a small company and I may have been able to figure out the person. Possibly but why only provide part of the information. It then took several email back and forth to get the last name. The same thing happens when we have new technology which she manages. I don't need to be trained or need to know until I need to do something for her. How can I do things when she is holding onto the information or wants to share at her discretion? Is it me? Help.
