How to politely respond when asked for paystubs without an official offer ?
I was recently was offered full time position in a bank in New York City. However, without an official offer letter, I received email from company’s lawyer saying that they are trying to assess my eligibility for working in the company from Immigration perspective. I am really confused because I am being asked bunch of stuff (copies of H1B, education credentials, passport, pay stubs, etc) without an offer letter. Is this normal? How do I politely decline to provide my pay stubs without an offer letter? Any advice is really appreciated.
