Ed teacher and part-time locally. She has had the part-time job since graduating college- for about 5 years. It is a small local store, only two employees on duty. The one male employee she has worked with for almost 3 years, exhibits terrible behavior towards the customers. He is rude, condescending and makes disparaging remarks about how they don't speak English. The pandemic has definitely brought out the worst of the worst in him. She is contemplating quitting although she needs the extra money to pay student loans. The employer knows full well about the behavior - he is Yelp and or Google reviewed regularly. Here is my question/s - Why is it always us to choose to leave? Why can't someone make him leave? Can she file an harassment charge - technically she is uncomfortable at work and his behavior is over the top harassing when customers come in.
