I worked as a network/systems admin for three years in the mid-nineties before leaving to raise my daughter. When I re-entered the workforce in the late 2000's it was as a secretary, even though much of my job was working as a system administrator and doing database design. I was termed from that position after taking FMLA during the height of the recession, and ended up taking an additional break to care for my mother. I attended college while off and completed my degree in Information Security/Risk Management this past December. Mom is now in a care facility, and I'm struggling to include my experience from the 90's in my current resume'. How do I combine my coursework and past experience in a way that allows me to look current but doesn't emphasize that I'm over 50? I have a lot of years left in me, and I love the field - I want a resume that shows that!
