JOB &LOCATION CHANGE @ AGE 67

I became a disabled RN/BSN in 2014. Having looked for job alternatives since the day I graduated from nursing school, I was overjoyed to be out of nursing. Having chosen health information management and/or technology as my alternative source of income, I'm almost finished with the Associate Degree. I live in Denver and I hate living here & intend to return to Oregon. My children haven't spoken in about 10 years, for reasons unknown to me and I have no reason to live in a place that I no longer know or like.

Could it be that you’re at a pivotal moment in your life where you are making significant changes without the anchors of children, work or a marriage to keep you tethered in place? Perhaps less than ideal circumstances, since you’re not in a good place with your children and geographically in a place you no longer like. It’s your time. Your children may or may speak to you again, which is sad, but I get it. If there’s something they want you to ‘fix’, they’ll tell you or they won’t. And it might not be something you can resolve. Focus on what you can do: Finish school. Update your resume. Scour the Jobs section of FGB. Etc., etc. Be Well Goddess ❤️

What advice are you asking for? If you don't like your current job, it sounds like you have options. Healthcare professions are booming right now (and were even before COVID). Moving is a huge event... are you moving back to family? And I don't understand your comment about your children.. they are grown and no longer talk to you? I must conclude that there is some significant event(s) that caused them to cut off communications. Sounds like there's a lot more going on than just job dissatisfaction.
