explaining your job to your kids

I have three daughters and I'm wondering when I should be starting to talk to them in more detail about my job. I've kind of been vague about the subject in the past because I assumed they wouldn't really grasp the details, but of course, eventually, I want them to understand what I do for work! For those of you with kids, at what age (your kids' age) did you start to have more in-depth conversations with them about your career/their potential careers?

I don't have children, but I am around friends' kids all the time. They ask me what I do because I am always home. The youngest I've told what I do is five years old. I do provide details to what they can understand and ask questions. I hope this answer helps.
