Walking

Is walking the best exercise? I've often heard doctors ..they say a spell of about 30 mins each day is enough. Nothing more required. What's more, it's good for all age groups. What do you think?

Walking "can" be enough, from a lot of the research I've read, but there are different levels of walking. In order to build strength and get some aerobic-type activity in, it's important that you're not just walking around a flat area at a slow pace. Speeding up your pace, adding arm or ankle weights, or even just finding areas to walk that are uphill (that's why hikes are so great!) can help meet those needs.

Weight training is the best. I just read this thread by a doctor the other day and it's the only thing that really helps in old age. Cardio doesn't do as much. https://twitter.com/AustinBaraki/status/1201531605212377088

Walking is easy on the knees and a healthy way to keep your body moving so it's a great choice! Is it the best?
