I'm a Woman who wears many hats.

Hi! I was hoping to come to you all for advice. I am in a place right now where I currently need to make an income at home. Due to various reasons including health complications and a loss of transportation. I have a long history of working freelance in numerous positions. Including Caregiving, Nannying, Housekeeping, and being a Face painter. I have also held other jobs in Retail, Costumer Service, Starbucks, Game-stop, Chicago tribune. ETC. I'm a single mom and I was unable to continue my education further due to serious catastrophic events. I've tried but things just didn't work out for one reason or another. I've had some success when I ran facebook pages for fun, It was something I did to connect with people who enjoy the same hobbies and fandoms. I've reached viral success working on a team. I never made any money from it but I'm really interested now in starting a digital marketing company or (Social media marketing) company. I have a friend who I'm thinking about starting it up with but I don't know much about the logistics of what running ads on facebook looks like. I have a plan to contact some friends who run businesses. Talking to them and offering my services for free for a week and ask that they cover the advertisements. But I definitely need advice on how to go about tackling such a thing. I don't know what I should do to start but I'd like to work with local businesses. I have some goals that I hope to reach if I im successful in this venture. 1) Be able to work at home or on the go. 2) is buying a car 3) paying off credit cards 4) pay off student loans 5) sign up for the Illinois media school. See how I do and hopefully continue my education. I eventually want to be a voice actress and work as a Sound designer, and Audio engineer. But I know there are alot of steps that I need to take before I get there. My big dreams are to create a production company and make things in Chicago. I would be highly appreciative any advice anyone has to offer here. I would even love the opportunity to find someone to be a mentor to work with. Hope you have a blessed day, Thanks for reading.

I wish I knew how to make money with social media! But it's outside my area of expertise. You seem to have an entrepreneurial spirit. I encourage anyone who has a burning desire to be their own boss to go for it, even if you don't quite know where to start. Sometimes the universe cooperates. Your plan to talk to other business people sounds reasonable. Good luck, and let us know how things go.

Look at your local technical college they often offer free or lost cost seminars on how to use social media

Thank you for this, I did just that today. I found out about a workforce development program. I hope to find some direction and perhaps classes there. :)
