I think this is why ERGs (Employee Resource Groups) are SO vital to the success of an organization. I've seen how much these groups give people a sense of purpose and connection to others at workm whether they be diversity groups, parenting groups, workout groups, etc. Engagement goes way up when people feel they can not only just bring their authentic selves to work, but are recognizing for their authentic selves. Highly recommend promoting or facilitating these at your companies!
