My director and I sit down regularly to touch base and have in depth check ins maybe every other month. She recently came to me and asked me what I wanted to learn or get more experience in so that I can grow more in my job. I think this is the first time I’ve had a boss (or bosses) that cared so much to ask. We just got through a transition year with 4 new regulatory governing programs. Personally I finished a masters degree. So I’ve been entrenched. What kinds of skills did you learn or were allowed to grow into on the job?
