Social Media Use

This comes from another post that I got inspired by. I realized how getting rid of social media from my phone, and being more strict about when I can get on it has changed my life. Does anyone here have any experience with this as well? Anyone with opposing thoughts?

hello Ms. Alice Johnson. I think you did a fabulous job of separating social media from your phone and maybe just leaving it for the PC because at times it can be time consuming, distracting, and just a not so good catch of the day when Important things need to be address first. I actually set up my screen time out on my phone for a lot of things that don't need to be on 24/7. cause sometimes I am to tired to look at my pc for messages so ill go on my phone for no more than ten mins to check for updates or zen items like paintings pictures, crystals stones gems plants and decors from cabins and houses overseas.

The importance of social media depends on what people do in life. For example, marketing people or professionals who are "selling" their expertise or services, may need to be active in social media because that's were they build their network and advertise their products or services. Perhaps the most appropriate thing to do in this information age is to learn how to limit the time spent in social media; choose the channels, audience, or topics that we engage in; and discipline ourselves as to when and how long we do business or have a little bit of pleasure / fun. I believe social media keep us updated with what's going on around us which is important in day to day living and our career.
