I was unemployed for three weeks in June, I took a job that pays 10.00 an hour less than I was making, because I need to work right now. I have been trying to collect my unemployment since the 6th of June I have called the unemployment office up to 100 times a day just to get to a person. three days ago this woman called me screaming that I was fired for violating company policy. No name no badge number nothing. I said I did not . one minute . So you did not have anything to do with being fired? I said I was not fired I do contract work and the contract ended. She said well they have two days and I have two hundred more people to call. And that was the end of the discussion. I immediately sent my company an email wanting to know what company policy I violated? I had not and they stated so and went in search of answers. Today they got back to me the company they use to file their claims puts this on the form and sends it to the person who fills it out. She apologized and said they were fixing it. Two things wrong with this. One it flagged m y account , and tow this company does employment verification. so if any of the jobs I applied for called and lets be honest there are ways to find things out. We have bad data out in the world about my work ethics. I am livid, but I have done all I can do, If you had to apply for anything verify what is in your file. They are using forms filled out in the employer favor playing the numbers.
