I left an employer a little over a year ago to explore an opportunity out of state. I left on very good terms and have been in contact with many of my peers and some trusted leadership. The other opportunity has not panned out and I'm certain that I would like to return to my home state, and would love to go back to my old company. Upon my departure I often heard "we'd love to have you back" or "let us know if you ever want to come back"; well with the pandemic I don't want to press the possibility but I've been encouraged to reach out to some Sr. Leadership with who are familiar with my work at the company, and let them know I'm interested in coming back; My question is does anyone have an example of a letter they've sent to "retintoduce" themselves and or plain out let a former employer know you would like to return?
