What current female fashion trend makes you cringe?
I can't handle the balloon sleeves people are wearing nowadays. There is just too much going on. Also, the attempt to wear a sweater when you're cold with ginormous sleeves is just a fail. Can we go back to the simpler days? Sometimes less is more... Right??

I have a love/hate relationship with jumpsuits.

agreed. I often love how they look on other women, but I can't bring myself to buy one for myself. I feel like I look 10 years old every time I try on a romper!

I LOVE jumpsuits! I think they're great on others, but every time I try one on, I look horrid! I don't know what I'm doing wrong, (I'm like 5'4" with a gut SMH) but I can't pull it off. That's one thing I'm envious of: women who kill it in a jumpsuit.

Off-the-shoulder tops. I see more people adjusting tops instead of comfortably wearing them.

Agree with that. It looks good though I have to keep adjusting them all the time. Thought I am the only one who felt this way.

Towering high heels. While they looks great, I never see people properly walking in them.

I want to like the pom-pom look, but I'm always waiting for them to fall off. It just doesn't look right.

I'm probably the only one to think this but I'm not a fan of bright & colorful nail polish. Neutral is just so much classier to me.

Those awful blouses that show the shoulder. I've always hated them and now, for some reason, they are in trend. Not everyone should revealing their shoulders.

what about not having a dress code and a contractor wearing shorts that are skin tight and so inappropriate = but with no written dress code I am stuck and can't even call the agency to ask them to talk to the contractor. This and leggings are NOT for everyone. Please dress for work like you CARE not like you are going to weed your garden or play in the mud. Also - pet peeve is why must women feel the need to show so much skin/cleavage in the office and for that fact all over - what about the old school leaving something up to the imagination - and never mind not making people feel uncomfortable.

haha, leggings that match the color of your skin is a huge NO. Why do people want to look like they don't have pants on?

I'm in finance and I still like the old school business dress code. Things I can't even (at work): leggings, strapless maxi dresses (and no, that cardigan you're wearing doesn't make it work appropriate), crop tops, ripped jeans, cold shoulder/ off the shoulder tops.
I do love the professional skinny pants and lighter fabric button-ups!

Confession: I like maxi dresses but I'm totally aware that they're going out of style
I agree with all of the above comments. I personally think modest yet classy and comfortable yet professional. The problem is what is available for us to purchase in "chic" stores such as Express or The Limited is often some trendy runway trash. The times I have tried to dress sexy or trendy I honestly can't focus on my work because I am either physically uncomfortable or feel incredibly awkward. I think this especially holds true when we are trying to be taken seriously in a male dominated industry. My general rule of thumb for wardrobe - if I look like I am going to the club or to a yard sale then I probably shouldn't wear it for work.

I hate anything for work that looks like you are getting ready to work in the yard. I have a co worker that complains about another person wearing jeans with holes in them, yet she wears tennis shoes, t-shirts and a hoodie to work! And we are supposed to be professional. SMH

Flip flops at work. There are some toes/toenails we just shouldn't have to see at work.

Agreed. No one wants to see your toes. Unless they have some weird toe fetish.
