Self Reflection

It's easy to fall into the "new year, new me" syndrome because you see others accomplishments and aspire to the level you perceive them to be on. Instead, I encourage you to engage in self reflection. Analyze who you are and the areas you want to improve and continue to grow in. Create a plan to become a better you in those areas. You can't focus on what another individual is doing. This is your life. You don't need to be a "new you" just a better more improved version of yourself.

So true; I agree that the "new you" mentality this time of year can have adverse side effects, especially when it comes to shaming ourselves for not becoming the most ideal versions of ourselves overnight! It's all a process, and that's true no matter what the time of year is!

Yes, it's definitely a process. More individuals have to understand that they didn't build their habits overnight and they certainly can't break them overnight.
