I'm frustrated with workshops that aim to teach women how to fit into hetero-normative white male standards of leadership

I attended a workshop for women a few days ago titled "Graceful Self-Promotion." While I appreciated both the intent and the content, I find myself increasingly frustrated with the number of workshops targeted at women that ultimately ask us to bend ourselves to better fit into hetero-normative white male standards of growth and leadership. I'd love to see workshops targeted at all genders that promote more inclusive leadership and growth styles, and for companies to consider how gender/race/sexual orientation/disability status/culture, etc may affect how people ask (or don't ask) for promotions, and how to teach managers to spot, mentor, and promote deserving talent in their ranks. Has anyone taught or attended this type of training? I would love to know more! Thanks!
