Interview Follow up

What is the best way to follow up after an interview? The job is a very casual office in agriculture field. They asked me to the interview by text. Text, call, email?

Checking in! How'd you end up following up? Also, if you haven’t already, I’d love to invite you to our new professional profile (which is different from your current community profile) and quick apply feature –– which gives you closer access to recruiters who are actively looking to hire more women. These features helps you avoid the job application black hole by receiving updates on your application status in real-time and the option to message the company directly after submitting your profile (link below). https://fairygodboss.com/users/job-profile?LAC=UGC&LAT=JSP Please let me know if you have any questions, best of luck with your search and please keep us posted!

Has all of your communication been by text? If so, definitely send the thank you by text. If some by email, you can do it by email too.

It really depends on how much are you interested in this job. If I were in your shoes and really wanted it I would follow up with a thank you card. Not many people do those anymore and it really makes you stand out.

Since they have texted you regarding the interview, I agree with those above that your follow-up can be by text as well. I would encourage you, however, if you have not yet, to consider sending a "thank you" note as part of your follow-up. This might be better done by email due to the length (of more than one line by text). This note of thanks can serve multiple purposes: 1) it shows courtesy, 2) confirms your interest in the position, 3) provides the opportunity to touch base with your interviewer, and 4) because not everyone sends a thank you note, it may even separate you from your competition. Best of luck in your job search!

If you interviewed by text, I would follow up in text as well.

I'm a big fan of following up via email. When responding to emails, I use the 24 hour rule. I wouldn't follow up immediately, but give it a few hours and make sure to thank them for their time and also reiterate how excited you are about the opportunity. Also, make sure you end the email letting them know that you look forward to hearing from them. Good luck, Rhonda!

If they've established communication via text and you're comfortable with that, I'd say stick with mode of communication. You can write to reiterate your interest and see if they need any additional information to proceed. Wishing you all the best, Rhonda!
