Six months ago I was contacted for a job that I had applied for months before with a company that I'd been targeting. I was in the final stages of interviewing for a different role that I didn't love but the company's mission and benefits aligned with my interest and needs. After I accepted the role, I interviewed with the hiring manager and we had a great conversation and they wanted to continue interviewing me. I started feeling guilty so after a few weeks (it was going to be a long interview process), I told the hiring manager that I'd accepted another role and it was purely based on timing since I'd been out of work for almost 2yrs. The company I'm at now is shifting directions and has shown signs of instability and there is a likelihood I may lose my job soon. I want to reach out to this hiring manager but unsure what to say to her. I've sent her at least one linkedIn message since I removed myself from the interview process. Any advice? Thank you in advance!
