Hey Minyonne. I don't agree with Sophie - I'm an entrepreneur and I definitely care what everyone else wants and thinks (I wish I didn't, but #WorkInProgress)! I started my business after my corporate career went south and I started with no plan. It's very hard and very rewarding. In the beginning when I told people I was starting a business, they would almost always say "wow, that's going to be really hard." I was like... thanks that's not helpful??? I think they were trying to warn/prepare me, but I found it discouraging. What you're experiencing is totally normal. I'll say this: try to be mindful of whether you want to believe what people are saying. Is the discouragement coming from someone you care about? Trust? Do they have experience in starting a business like the one you want to start? Everyone has an opinion, but people's opinions are not facts. And we - women especially - are supposed to ask for advice and listen to others and not do anything that upsets the status quo, but the absolute best thing YOU can do for YOURSELF is to trust yourself. Not your uncle, not your best friend, not your neighbor.

Same question... What kind of entrepreneur would you like to become?

An entrepreneur doesn't care what everyone else wants or thinks (apart from their customers). They usually have a single minded steely focus on getting their business going. They have to weather lows, disappointments and be resilient enough to face losing everything they won sometimes as part for he gamble to get their idea off the ground. Maybe these people are testing your fortitude and resolve, or genuinely reflecting back a sense of this is not for the feint hearted so tread VERY carefully
