I need some advice. I have an opportunity to get a scholarship to complete a web developer bootcamp through an acredited university. I like to code and I like to learn and so over the years I have done four different bootcamps. The first three paid for themselves shortly after completion but this last one really hasn't taken me anywhere and unfortunately its the one that I found was more me, data engineering. Its quite competitive to break into that field and unfortunately the school that trained me promised work but failed to deliver.
At this point Im really ready to stop being a student and just work but things have changed quite a bit since I last worked full time. I stopped work to raise my daughter so there are some gaps in my employment. I just dont want to have all these bootcamps under my belt and no employment to show for it. Where I lived before did not have too many opportunities for tech so I moved back to the northeast. Im wondering if I should do this bootcamp and go into web development which would build on the web design bootcamp I did a few years ago or if I should just focus on the skills I already have. Im not working so that makes the job hunt even more challenging.
