Gifts for Coworkers

I want to spread holiday joy this year and get my coworkers something for X-mas? What are some inexpensive ideas that everyone will love.

I work with several men so many of the traditional gifts don't work for me as they are focused on candles or spa type items. since I live near a wine area, I try to avoid it - everyone has wine. I'm also a person who feels the need to make not buy as the things I want to afford are not in acceptable price ranges. My compromise, I make generational cookie recipes consisting of Brown Sugar Shortbread, Potato Chip cookies, and chocolate indulgences (think mars bar). These are put into inexpensive bags or containers with a holiday greeting. Even those who don't eat gluten/chocolate/etc, are happy to receive as they put out on their holiday tables for others to enjoy. This year, I'm am having a hard time cooking sweets as I am eating them all so I was thinking of a deviation over to a seasoned butter or homemade salsa (with chips). Since this is only my second holiday season with this organization, they won't know I am changing things up.

I’ve baked cookies, ordered cookies one year, another ordered fortune cookies with a personalized message inside. Some other “stocking stuffer” type ideas to not break the bank are : a donation to a charity in their name, socks or coffee with funny (but politically correct sayings), finger nail polish with an emery board/men shaving kit or if you know their favorite lunch spot give them a gift card from there. Good luck!

Korean sheet masks! They are usually on sale at Asian beauty stores and sell in boxes of 5-10 masks in one box. I usually give one to each person and stick with something gentle/organic and hydrating for winter months! Good luck!

Previous bosses kept it simple with a bottle or two of wine. Nice ones with a meaningful card. Easy to shop for, and if the recipient is not a fan, no waists, it makes for the perfect regift.

I like to give a gift bag with a bottle of wine, chocolates, baby feet peel and a face mask. A reminder to stop and take care of yourself.

I always LOVE getting any kind of soaps and lotions. They have cheap, holiday themed mini ones at places like Bath & Body Works and I love having them around all year. They come in handy, I can leave one in the car one at the office, etc.

One of my husband's co-workers would give everyone an ornament that was made by a local artisan.

One thing to keep in mind is if you're calling them Christmas gifts, you need to make sure everyone celebrates Christmas. If not, you need to think about giving "holiday" gifts. I'd stay away from chocolate, cookies, and candy, unless you know that person likes it (they may have undisclosed health issues that prevents them from enjoying the goodies). I like to give gift certificates to the movie theatre (wrap it up in a cute popcorn container with tissue paper). Maybe coffee gift cards if they like coffee. Start to notice what your co-workers eat, and mention as hobbies and enjoy doing so you can really personalize the gift to make it really enjoyable, as you stated that was your goal. First though, see if giving gifts is ok with company policy. Some companies do not allow gift-giving.
