Hello Ladies! I am a coach who helps women find their voice and turn it into their power! I am working on a project and need your input. I would really appreciate you answering these 2 questions: 1.) How do you feel about working at your current job? 2.) What is something you wished you could experience, but don't at your current place of work? Thank you for helping me out!! Janie

Hello Janie, I like my current work place. I have done very well, and about a year ago went back to school and I am working on my BS in Business and my Human Resources Certificate. I wanted to get my degree to advance to the next level of a Vice President in our company. I am currently the Executive Assistant, and I have been doing this for 6 years, and I have been with the company for 8 years. I advanced very quickly, although I was told by the CFO that the job I was hired for would be the only one I would ever do, so don't expect to move up because there is no other positions for me. I needed the job and money, so I took it anyway. Less than two years I was promoted to my now position. As each year passes, I have done extremely well and I run our company of 44 branches and 820 people in the President and Vice President's absence. I have worked extremely hard and would love to know how to increase my confidence, show that I am capable of doing a job that they do, (this is a male dominated company with a male mentality). At times I am ok with thinking I will retire from this company, but then, I see how younger, attractive, curvy, drink with the guys gets this one person "GREAT" pay, "GREAT" bonuses, and more attention and advancement than I could ever dream of. She has not been with our company but 3 years, she gives the rest of ladies no attention nor conversation, but when there are guys around it's a whole different story. She has a marketing degree and does our H/R Director job, no H/R degree or otherwise. I would love to advance, I would love to make it a VP level. It's just that I am not sure if the President/CEO agrees, again, it's a man's world/culture here! Women, take the back seat, regardless! I would love to experience in being given an opportunity to be trained, guided, managed, to a level of Vice President, I want to guide, manage, help, grow our profit line, and I want to be the first woman in this company's history to be a Vice President.
