Combo work/travel question: For which job have you traveled the most?

You can answer this question based on number of times you've traveled (regardless of distance), location you've needed to travel to for work that's the furthest away, or any combination- just be sure to share some specifics in regard to frequency, distance, different locations, etc. And of course, a little bit about which have been your most/least favorite places to travel to (for work specifically) and why. Looking forward to reading your responses!

I worked at a satellite office of a company headquartered in a different city- had to travel a bunch back and forth. I like sporadic work travel, but I wouldn't want to do it regularly!

In my last role in sales at a FinTech company, I went to 5-6 conferences a year up and down the east coast, which normally took place in the fall. Least favorite was definitely St. Louis. We stayed in the hotel all day for 3-4 days. :|

When I worked for an architecture firm from 1985-1997, I traveled to project/client meetings with my boss. I went to Morehead City, NC a lot (about 3 hour drive) and we charted a plane to fly to a project site in Gary, WVA (airport located on top of a mountain, literally!).

I previously worked for a company headquartered in Verona! Twice a year I was able to travel there for work, and get better acquainted with my Italian heritage :)

The last couple of roles I've had, I've needed to travel a bit. I've learned what I like and what I definitely do NOT like in regards to business travel. Like: International travel as long as it's not really more than once a quarter and it's at least Business Class. I've had to go to India (Delhi) from NYC and I really enjoy that trip. I usually pop on a vacation in Europe to the back end of that trip. Like: Travel in my time zone. I had to travel within my timezone (up and down the eastern seaboard) once a month for a couple of years. The trip is super easy and quick and short. No jet lag and no real issues (except for weather) and I can almost always grab a flight. It felt more like commuting than travel. Do Not Like: East Coast to West Coast - I had to do this trip a couple times a year for a job and no, no, no. I have a pretty strong sleep rhythm and this trip kills me. It really throws me off. Plus I never get business class because it's "too short". Sigh. No. Thank. You. I would literally turn down a job if it had this kind of travel. Plus I actually do not like the west coast. I lived there for some time. It's just not me. So staying a weekend or something is just out of the question.

When I was operating my own startup, I was constantly traveling! I made regular trips from NY to SF (about 4-5 a year) plus many other trips within the U.S. for business. I certainly racked up a lot of frequently flier points, but otherwise, didn't really consider it a perk. I prefer to stay put for work and save my travel time for personal.

At my previous job (an entertainment brand), I traveled about once a year for work. One year I went to an army base in Ohio and the next year I went to experiment with drones in San Francisco. So it wasn't really too much, but it definitely kept things exciting!

I have no idea how many trips it was, but in my first year as a new mom, I earned Premier Executive (50k+) and my baby earned Premier (25k+) on United Airlines. I was a Program Manager for Intel. He got less because he only got miles when he had his own ticket...

Average per trip? About 1500. I lived in the middle of the country and usually flew to the east or west coast.
