how do so many people online shop?

almost everyone I know buys the bulk of their clothes, shoes, accessories, etc. online. I get it — it's obviously more convenient than physically going to different stores. But I have so much trouble purchasing items (even if returnable) that I haven't been able to see/try on in person. How do I know if they'll fit / I'll really like them? If I don't, I certainly don't want to constantly deal with sending stuff back in the mail — that negates the "convenience" part of it. Do any pro online shoppers have tips for how to make it work....or any stores that they find make the online shopping process particularly easy?

So many companies these days have pre-printed return labels that allow you to just drop off at UPS, etc. that it still ends up being pretty convenient. I always check reviews of products carefully, and many have size comparisons or somewhere the reviewers enters their measurements which also helps. ALSO, I love shopping at eShakti because you can customize the clothing to your size, neckline, sleeve length, etc. I also invest in a few pieces of excellent quality each year so that I'm not constantly buying and I avoid those vague Chinese companies that you often see in ad listings. It never fits and it never lasts.

Good point. But returning a package through a delivery store is just faster for me (when I have to). I think it takes longer to go to a store, search through clothes and hope that the shirt I actually like has my size.

I have go-to places that I know just fit for me so I'm confident with purchasing online.
