Suggestion is fair enough...

...but making stupid statements like “we are effectively GASLIGHTINGwomen by staying silent” doesn’t help ANYONE - come on, man, this is some stupid reasoning. Do you think women don’t understand the moment we are in, and that any men admitting to ANY sexual “assault” will be savaged by anybody able to comment on his statement. There will be no “understanding” or “appreciation” for his “honesty” - a bunch of idiots on the internet will post negative comments, and his name will be sullied FOREVER. I’m sorry for ANY woman who is/was sexually assaulted, and while I see how the initial comment would be good for the “Movement”, but if you expect men to throw caution to the wind and admit to “rape” or “coercion”, well, you might catch a few suckers with that “trap”, but any man who has something to admit to, who is aware of his place and time will STFU, and be better -much better - moving forward, from this point on. I’m not sure #MeToo could realistically expect more from men. After all, regardless of guilt, a Court would advise a defendant to get a good lawyer, mount a formidable defense. There are no such warnings or well-meaning admonishments in the court-of-public opinion, and in the age of the internet, where things linger FOREVER, if you’d ever like to hold a job again...
